Brewing incredible coffee starts with education.
At Bridge Coffee Roasters, we believe in supporting our partners well beyond the bag of beans. That’s why we offer barista training as part of our wholesale service, available to all customers who regularly purchase our roasted coffee and café supplies. Whether you're onboarding new staff or refreshing your team’s skills, our training helps ensure consistency, quality, and confidence behind the bar.
When you partner with Bridge Coffee Roasters for your wholesale supply, training comes as part of the package. We work closely with our customers to ensure that your baristas feel confident behind the bar, whether they’re pulling shots, steaming milk, or simply getting to grips with a new machine.
Training is offered at key points throughout our partnership, from the day your coffee machine is installed to the moments when new staff need onboarding or you want to raise the bar on drink quality and workflow.
Training is available either at your own premises, or at our dedicated showrooms in Clerkenwell, London, and Cardiff, South Wales. Wherever it happens, our sessions are hands-on, collaborative, and shaped around your specific machines, menu, and team experience.
Whether you're running a single café or overseeing multiple sites, we adapt our approach to support your day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
Our training team is made up of experienced coffee professionals who know how to deliver real results. They’re not just here to tick boxes, they’re here to help your staff grow, develop skills, and feel proud of the drinks they serve. Sessions are practical, tailored to your business, and designed to give your team the tools and confidence to consistently produce high-quality coffee.
For baristas ready to take the next step in their coffee career, we offer paid SCA-accredited training at our South Wales training centre. These internationally recognised courses are ideal for hospitality professionals looking to deepen their knowledge and gain formal qualifications in brewing, barista skills, and coffee science.
Led by our Authorised SCA Trainers, these courses go beyond the day-to-day, giving your team a deeper understanding of quality control, technique, and flavour. They’re perfect for managers, trainers, or ambitious baristas who want to grow their careers in coffee.
Our barista courses are designed for businesses and coffee professionals looking to improve coffee skills and proficiency behind the bar, and take their coffee teams to the next level. Whilst coffee hobbyists and enthusiasts are able to sign up, the SCA programme is primarily designed for coffee professionals and team leaders.
Our standard barista training is not accredited, it’s part of the practical support we offer to all of our wholesale coffee customers. These sessions are designed to help your team gain confidence, understand your equipment, and consistently deliver great coffee.
If you’re looking for formal certification, we also offer paid SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) courses at our South Wales training centre, which are internationally recognised within the coffee industry.
Our typical barista training visits are included within our wholesale partnership as a service benefit to ensure our coffee is presented in a great light.
SCA training is a paid, optional service available to anyone. Costs vary depending on the course level and duration. To get a full breakdown of pricing and upcoming course dates, just speak to your account manager, they’ll walk you through your options.
Our standard wholesale training sessions typically last a few hours and are tailored to your needs, whether it’s an install-day refresher or a more in-depth session for a new team.
SCA courses are more structured and vary in length depending on the level. For example, a Barista Skills: Foundation course is usually completed in one day, while Intermediate and Professional levels span multiple days and include assessments.
Not necessarily, but it’s something we strongly recommend, especially when new team members join or when installing a new coffee machine. Our included training ensures that whoever is serving your coffee understands how to make it well, which protects your brand and keeps your customers happy.
For businesses with larger teams or multiple sites, we can also help you build a more structured training plan over time.
