Rwandan Coffee

Despite it being one of the world's biggest producers, you might not be that familiar with Rwandan coffee. But the terrain and climate of this beautiful country known as the 'land of a thousand hills' means its coffee beans pack some serious flavour. Haven't tried Rwandan coffee yet? Now's the time to start.

Supporting farmers in Rwanda to produce high quality crops

The Rwandan coffee in our House Blend 3 comes from Kinini Kabuye, grown at altitudes of 1,800 to 2,100 metres above sea level. by farmers with generations of coffee growing experience. The Kabuye lot is a separation from the 633 farmers using the Kinini washing stations and we think it's some of the best single origin coffee Rwanda has to offer. You won't find a single low grade coffee bean here. We're committed to supporting growers in Rwanda to continue to produce high quality coffee, and to continually improve their coffee production to sustain the country and the coffee industry for future generations. Our Rwandan coffee is 100 per cent traceable, so you can get to know the producers who bring you Rwanda's great quality arabica coffee.

Coffee beans soaked in sunshine

You can taste the sunshine in our Rwandan coffee, because it's central to the production process. Once the coffee has been depulped, it's fermented and then left to dry in the sun for an average of 15 days, depending on the intensity of the sun. This slow, careful drying, paired with a careful roast retains the natural quality of the beans, drawing our their rich bourbon, orange and caramel flavour notes.

Versatile roasted coffee for any occasion

Our Rwanda coffee is rich and packed with natural sweetness, perfect for brewing into a smooth shot of espresso. But it's just as good lengthened our with milk for a flat white or latte, for a brew you can enjoy all day long. All our coffees are roast and ground ready to use in your coffee making kit of choice, from a coffee shop-standard espresso coffee machine to the French press, filter or Chemex you have in your kitchen at home. Great coffee starts with the best beans, lovingly produced by producers across the world and carefully roasted by us. And Rwanda coffee beans are sure to make the perfect brew every time.
